NIFC Making A Difference
Playoff Results
Coaching any youth sport is a very time consuming endeavor.  It takes a lot to "make" time to be involved with the youth in our communities, and to make a difference in their lives.  The NIFC would like to share with those involved in our organization, those thinking or joining our organization, or anyone who would like to see what it takes to be a positive influence with our youth.  Below are emails or comments received by this organization reflecting the types of coaches that we edorse within this organization.

If you see a gesture that is a positive influence on our youth, please let us know so we can recognize those which we want to keep involved.

Sycamore - vs - Belvidere North  Flyweight Game (Saturday 9/11/10)

Received from Head Coach of Sycamore Team

"During the game between Sycamore Flyweight and Belvidere North, one of my players was called for a personal foul for pushing on the top of the helmet of a much shorter player.  I asked Coach Saso if we could use the player to demonstrate how to properly block someone that is significantly shorter.  He stayed on the field with me and my player and the two of us instructed the Sycamore player on using a better technique.  I feel this act demonstrated true sportsmanship between two coaches of opposing teams and reinforces the NIFC goal of player education."

To Coach Saso of Belvidere North, thanks for making a difference with the kids & to Coach Scianna of Sycamore for working together to make a positive

impact on the kids.

I just want to give a shout out to you (and maybe you'll pass this on to other organizations).

We hosted CYFL yesterday for 4 games, and it was a pleasure. Not only did they pick up their trash on the sidelines, but they also picked up the yard markers and end zone pylons, stacked them in a neat pile. They also took down the shade tent on their sideline for us.

I just want to pass on how fortunate we are to be in a league of sound quality people and organizations. Kudos to CYFL! I know that they've raised the bar for my organization.

Thanks!

To CYFL, way to set the example.  Everyone in the NIFC should have respect for other organizations and clean up after themselves.
